If the basic settings are set, the subfolders and files in a scene's Folder tool are listed alphabetically. 

Under the name of the Folder tool, subfolders are listed alphabetically, below them there are the meta-data entries (books, book chapters, etc.), and files that are not in subfolders are listed. 

In the local search bar on the upper right section of the folder list, you can easily search for files in the Folder tool. 

On the left side of the file list, the tool menu can be seen, where you can switch to Chronological view, view the Thrash bin, view the Tag cloud of the tool, or add new items to the Folder.
